Policeman Shoots Dead Father-Of-Two In Aba

An officer attached to the Eziama Police Division of the Nigeria Police Force shot to death a civilian in Aba, Abia state, on Wednesday. Abia state police have confirmed the incident and ordered an immediate arrest of the killer.
Ikeokwu Onyemachi, a Port Harcourt-based businessman and a father-of-two, was returning home after accompanying his friend, Okike, to the Group Medical Practice mortuary where the two deposited Okike’s father’s body.
A group of policemen then attempted to seize their motorcycle at Ogbor-Hill, refusing to listen to pleas and explanations of the two.
The policemen were driving a Peugeot 504, according to reports.
One of the policemen, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, reportedly pulled out his gun and shot Mr Onyemachi in the face.
The policemen were said to have fled the scene of the incident.

When contacted by Vanguard, Ezekiel Onyeke, the spokesmanof the Abia state police command, confirmed the incident, adding the state commissioner of police, Habila Joshak, had ordered the arrest of the killer policeman.
